Today I feel like writing in English because my concerns are with the British-American side of the family. My husband's best friend just died at the age of 44. The whole story is very sad as the relations between his widow and his mother are really bad and to top it they are in two different continents. On the other hand my sister in law, who lives in the States is going to go thru a very delicate operation this noon (US eastern time)/evening Spanish time. We have prayed, and keep praying, that everything goes well.
In the mean time, Spain is going to hell. The government is band of resentful socialist who instead of solving problems create more as well as dilapidate the wealth and credit had achieved not so long ago.
With this last sentence you might have guess what my political views are, well I am not a socialist as such, certainly I don't feel any simpathy for the PSOE, but not much either for PP, who don't stand up for their principles. I am a catholic, I am mostly conservative, pro-life, anti-mercy killings, in fact I am againts any kind of death penalty whether you call it punishment, justice or mercy to end the suffering of those with terminal illnesses. I am in favour of preserving nature without being an extremist and try to do my best to save water and energy and to recycle waste.
I love my country, even more since I spent a couple of years in the States, not because I didn't like it there but because how much I missed my own country, even if it is such a mess. I love my flag and my anthem and feel very proud when people talked about Spain with admiration and not just to mention the last killing of ETA or the latest mistake of the misguided president we happen to be suffering now.
